You Need a Success Partner

You Need a Success Partner

By Meggan Larson

I just started a boot camp for my business and it’s awesome. I have been so much more productive every day just by taking an hour of my day to connect with people. One of the first things we had to do in this boot camp was to get a success partner. At first, I didn’t really understand why but it quickly became apparent to me why it was so necessary and why everyone should have one. You see the idea is that…

…your success partner keeps you accountable. When you make a plan to connect daily then you’re much more likely to stay on track. For my business boot camp I need to send a daily screen shot to my success partner with my activity for the day. I don’t want to have nothing to send or have to admit that I didn’t do my work! So every day I get it done regardless of how I feel. Having a weight loss success partner is the same thing! Sending each other a screen shot of your Carb manager app (or whatever you’re using to track your food) at the end of the day will likely keep you more on track. I mean you’re not likely to gorge on carbs or sugar if you have to send a screenshot of it to someone ya know? It’s just an extra measure of accountability and protection for yourself.

One last thing about your accountability partner is to make sure they’re as committed as you are. It’s a challenge if you’re way more committed to your goals than your success partner is. They’ll either send you a screenshot of all the candy and cake they ate over the weekend, or they won’t bother sending it at all. You need to choose someone as committed as you are so that it’s truly a successful partnership instead of a detrimental one.
