Wondering if God is Working?
by Joanna Beck
We were not created to live in a constant struggle. It was not God’s intent for us to continually battle hurt and disappointment. Jesus did not come so we would settle for a “barely getting by, just making it through the day kind of life!”
Jesus said: I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” John 10:10 MSG God deeply cares for you and He wants you to enjoy life in Him. So what happens when your life doesn’t look like what the Bible says it should look like?
Let me let you in on the secret launching point for having the most amazing life…
It’s your prayer life.
Because of what Christ did on the cross for us, our happiness is not based on our circumstances and what goes on around us. Our joy comes from the Lord! Having real peace and joy that can never be shaken or taken from us comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus.
Prayer is communication with God, pour out your heart to Him, tell Him how much you need Him, tell Him your worries and how much you are hurting. Tell Him what you are thankful for. How much you love Him. Then… Listen! Be patient and listen for that soft voice, and read his word.
Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. – James 5:16 MSG
Prayer is powerful for one person so imagine how powerful it is when we all join together!
I have personally seen prayer work and my entire family was restored through prayers that I prayed and joining my prayer and faith with fellow believers. Live with an expectant attitude that your prayers will be answered. Watch God move on your behalf ~ you’ll never be disappointed.
