I’ve been really lacking in the motivation department recently. It’s not that I don’t want to get to my goal weight because I genuinely do. It’s just that I find it tedious to stay on plan all the time and bake and prep snacks etc. I know this sounds exceptionally lazy but I’m just being real here. I’m a busy homeschooling mom of three kids 6 and under. I have businesses, part time work from home, etc. It’s a busy life! Sometimes (most times) it’s just easier to eat off plan or not worry about every single ingredient in the food I’m eating.
But there is one thing that really motivates me…
This year is my 10 year anniversary and we wanted to do something really special. After spending several hours working out childcare for a week (we’re traveling without the kids! :O) we finally booked a travel date for next month. We’re going tropical for a full week!! Sun, sand, food, swimming…uh oh. Bathing suits for a week? I need to get into gear!! Nothing motivates like an impending trip to a tropical destination. Now I’m not suggesting that you need to book a trip in order to get motivated to lose the weight, although if you can squeeze it into the budget I highly recommend it (Cuba is reaaaaaaally cheap to go to just FYI), but if you can find the right thing to motivate yourself then that will propel you into success.
It’s not always easy to find the motivation you need to get through the trenches of weight loss so it’s really important to find whatever it is that works for you. Whether it be a vacation, an anniversary, a wedding…even if you have nothing planned right now, it’ll come. Maybe it’s best to start motivating yourself now instead of waiting for a trip to pop up in 5 weeks. Find out what works for you and do the best you can to motivate yourself.

Being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and undergoing aggressive chemotherapy when her second born child was only three months old, gave Meggan an expected twist to her life. Dealing with pregnancy weight gain and the debilitating effects of chemotherapy, Meggan’s weight soared to over 228 pounds. Feeling humiliated with no desire to socialize, Meggan was desperate for a change. Shortly after losing 20 pounds with the Trim Healthy Mama program, Meggan found out she was pregnant with baby number three, which ended in an emergency C-section and unexpected hysterectomy. Despite the challenges she faced, Meggan has just celebrated her one year “trimiversary”, and her success of releasing just over 60 pounds! Meggan is confident that her success on plan is “doable” for anyone looking to gain back their health and wanting to live a trim and healthy lifestyle!
