What Is Your Body Missing?

What Is Your Body Missing?

by Meggan Larson

I’ve been focusing my articles lately around the “other stuff” of weight loss because I know that some of my readers have been religiously following the Trim Healthy Mama plan and yet are still struggling to lose weight. I promise I’ll get back to the basics soon but in the meantime I’m going to help troubleshoot some reasons why it may not be working for you. There is definitely one thing that you should be doing regularly and if you aren’t then this may be the reason you’re struggling to lose anything…

Many of our bodies are out of balance due to toxins, diet, the air we breathe, etc. This causes havoc on our bodies and when our body is in distress weight loss is often one thing that gets put on pause until we’ve regained the balance our body so desperately needs. If you often feel foggy, sluggish, heavy, exhausted, etc. you may be lacking essential nutrients that your body craves and needs to function optimally.

One thing that you can do to bring your body back into balance is use supplements. If your body is low on something you may need to supplement that lack by using all natural products. Getting a hormone panel done by your doctor is a great way to see if you are low on essential hormones as well as other vital nutrients.  Another plus to taking supplements is that often they help you absorb the nutrients you’re already consuming. If your body isn’t breaking them down or absorbing them properly then you can eat all the kale you want but it’s not going to make a difference. If you don’t already have a good supplement you’re using I’d be happy to recommend what’s working for me. Just send me an email at Meggan@thelaundrymoms.com

Whatever you do, make sure that if you are not getting the results you want, that you get some blood work done and find out why that’s happening. Often we can think it’s because we’re not doing the plan right or we’re not perfect enough on it to get the results we want but that’s not always the case (though sometimes it is). It’s worth looking into as it could be something chemical or hormonal and you won’t be able to fix that with some more protein and a salad. Do yourself a favor and stop condemning yourself. You’ve gotta love yourself where you’re at but also love yourself enough to help your body be healthy.
