Time to Shrink Your But

Do you have a dream or a vision, but keep on shrinking back from it? All you need to do is get your big, fat “BUT” out of the way and make some progress! Here’s what usually happens:
God gives you a big dream, one of those “goosebump” dreams that wake you up in the morning and tucks you in bed at night. You imagine it, you start to believe you can do it, then you begin to take physical steps toward seeing that dream become a reality.
BUT something happens. You shrink back as soon as you make progress.
Why?
It’s your big, fat, BUT!
BUT what if I look foolish?
Let me help you out with this one ~ You WILL look foolish! One of the biggest reasons people don’t step out and accomplish their purpose is because they have a fear that others will look down on them, judge them, or think they are foolish. Go ahead and get comfortable with the fact that if you don’t look different, you will be just like everyone else. Unless you’ve been living under a rock lately, you’ll know that everyone else’s way is not working. The majority of people today are broke, anxious, stressed, and falling apart. Do you really want those kinds of results? I didn’t think so. Take the narrow path, Mama, The view is so much better.
BUT what if it doesn’t work out?
I’ll help you out with this one, too. It’s NOT YOUR JOB to work it out; that’s God’s job. He’s in charge of getting the results He wants. Your only job is obedience. When He says to do something, just do it! And do it without getting all caught up in what the results are going to look like or whether they will fit what you want or not. God knows your desires because He planted them in you, and He is more than enough to make sure they come to pass HIS way, not yours. You’re not in charge of the results! Isn’t that a relief? Let God Almighty do His job. Hey, He gave you the dream and the results are a reflection on Him. Don’t you think He’s going to work it out? As long as He gets the credit, the results are going to be spectacular ~ beyond anything you could do on your own. Your only job is just to do what He tells you to do and leave the rest up to Him.
So I’m telling you today DO NOT SHRINK BACK! God always expands and grows, and as His blood-bought child, you should always be expanding and growing, too. Never shrinking back and never running away! So get your big, fat BUT out of the way and get going, Mama!
