The Sun Can be Fun
By Terri Bonin
Don’t you love beach days? I loooooove beach days! Spending hours in the sun, playing in the water, watching the waves, enjoying the sounds of my children’s laughter as they play… Ahhhh I can practically feel the sun on my back. There’s something else I can feel too though. This ominous threat used to scare me because I had to choose between the lesser of two evils.
Can you guess what it is?
UV rays! (Cue the scary music). I either had to lather my family up with chemical-laden sunscreen to protect them from the UV rays (and expose them to who knows what in the process), or take my chances and hope for the best. That’s why I was SO excited when Young Living came out with Sunscreen! It’s plant-based, all natural, and REEF SAFE! Yes, I shouted that last part because it needs to be shouted. Do you know what a big deal that is? So many sunscreens out there are polluting the oceans and ruining the reefs that many places like Hawaii have banned any sunscreens that aren’t reef safe. I feel so good knowing that what I’m using for my family will protect them from the sun and keep them from being exposed to harsh chemicals. Not to mention there’s both a 10SPF and a 50SPF for those super pale people who need the extra protection (it’s me, I’m the pale people).
Young Living even has after sun spray just in case you have a little too much fun in the sun. It’s fantastic for burns and soothes the skin so well. They have insect repellent and repellent wipes to keep you bug-free while you hike or camp (if you’re into that kind of thing). They have everything you need to get outdoors this summer and remind you that the sun can really be fun!
