The Shrinker
For the fabulous drinking jar purchase here: cute mason jar (fyi…your jar will not be sucked into an hour glass shape 🙂
Directions:
1. Boil enough water to fill a large coffee mug in which you will steep 4 tea bags of Oolong. Let it cool.
2. Once cool, pour this tea into a blender along with ½ cup of Unsweetened Almond milk, a couple of generous pinches of Celtic salt, a generous tsp. or two of vanilla, stevia extract to taste (go easy and add more if needed), ½ – 1 tsp. of cinnamon (cinnamon lovers can use more) and cayenne pepper to taste. If you have not developed a taste for hot pepper then use black pepper to replace the red for your chai blend. Turn on blender and blend well. This is your SHRINKER concentrate.
3. Once blended, pour the concentrate into a glass, 2 quart size canning jar and fill to the top with ice. If you don’t have a 2 quarter, I recommend you get one as it is fun having your day’s quota (2 quarts) in one huge jar. But you can split your concentrate between two quart size canning jars. You can add a bit of water to the concentrate if needed to make the liquid reach the top of the jar, but do make sure there is plenty of ice to keep the SHRINKER thoroughly chilled.
4. Put a lid on the jar, shake well then taste and adjust flavors. Make it specific for your taste buds by adding more or less of the stevia or vanilla!
Enjoy!

I just purchased Oolong Tea from Puritan’s Pride site – it is the “Prince of Peace” brand — the box of 100 is $10.99, and you get a box free (200 tea bags – $10.99). At the time I ordered, the shipping: free.

[…] also pairs well with “The Shrinker” for a delightful afternoon […]
Does The Mason Bar Company no longer sell this mason jar style? It is so cute and I can’t find one like it anywhere.
Thanks
Did you try walmart for the top and straw?
[…] a zingy, zesty all day guzzler with oodles of health and weight loss benefits. That was followed by The Shrinker – a delicious sipper that shrinks your fat cells and raises your thermogenic temperature. […]
Do you drink it throughout the day? or with your 3-4 hour meal/snack?
Hey Annie! Yes you can drink the shrinker all day long. 🙂

Do you have to drink it cold?
You could heat it up if you wanted to!

Do you have to add the almond milk?? I am from the South. We typically don’t drink milk in our tea.
I really want to try this. Am I OK purchasing the tea from a local Asian market?
Should be fine!

Thank you!
I made the shrinker for the first time today. I
glanced at the measurements for the cinnamon and cayenne thought it said 1-2 top of each. I put 2 of cinnamon and 1 of cayenne. Oops didn’t realize it was 1-2 pinches of cayenne. It definitely has a zing!!
Oh my! Hope it was drinkable!
~ Meggan 🙂
Do you have to use the pepper? I HATE pepper.
You don’t HAVE to do anything! 😉 Leave it out if you can’t stand it. The rest of the drink is still healthy.

Dr. Weil’s site says in part: pepper whether black or cayenne enhances the absorption and the anti-inflammatory effects of other substances.
Medicinally, black pepper has been known to help calm digestive issues – it helps signal the stomach to produce more hydrochloric acid, which aids in protein digestion. This, in turn, can help address heartburn, indigestion, gas, diarrhea and constipation. Black pepper can also promote detoxification via sweating and increased urination, while the outer layer of peppercorns facilitates the breakdown of fat cells. Additionally, black pepper has been used orally to treat bronchitis, to improve blood circulation and as a thermogenic aid to warm the body. Topically, it has been used to treat scabies and to counteract nerve-related pain.
Can you mix up a big batch of shrinker and keep it in the fridge for a couple of days?
I’ve never tried it but I don’t see why not!
