The Champion Mom

The more you love and esteem yourself, the pickier you will become about what you are willing to accept. When you love yourself completely, then a natural consequence of this is to want only the very best. The higher you value yourself, the higher your standards will be. There is a good reason that champion race horses are fed only the highest grade of food and winning race cars have only the best fuel pumped into them. You treat a winner the way a winner needs to be treated. How do you treat yourself? What are your standards? You should consider yourself a winner – so treat yourself as one.

The following choices depict a champion lifestyle…

Your Champion Home: Love your home. No matter how big, small, old, or new, you should love it completely. When you have a positive and healthy image of your home, then you are willing to accept only the very best within its walls. It will be clean and organized because you treat a winner the way a winner needs to be treated. You will see clutter as something that junks up your house and will be more than willing to let it go. You will fill it with energy and beauty because that is what it deserves. And that is the home that you deserve.

Your Champion Health: Love your body. It has carried you through life this far and nourished and protected your babies. Regardless of size, appearance, or performance, your body should be loved right now. The positive image you have of your body will inspire you to nourish it with only the best food and to give it daily exercise to pump up your energy level and strengthen your muscles. It’s a winning relations: You love your body. You give your body the best treatment. Your body loves you back. Nothing positive can come out of a negative image. Phrases such as “I”m fat” or “I’m ugly” are toxic and have no place in your vocabulary. If you want positive changes, begin with a positive image.

Your Champion Family: Love your family. The way you feel about your husband or significant other and your children will be reflected back on you. I have been with women who harshly criticize their family members. Their kids are lazy and ungrateful or their husbands are overbearing and inconsiderate. What these women don’t realize is that by saying these things, they are facilitating this reality. Believe in your family and see the very best in them. Fuel your family with positive words and an optimistic attitude. This doesn’t mean you need to keep your frustrations buried inside. But be fair in your judgments and try not to jump to negative conclusions. As a mom, your opinion carries a lot of weight. For your family members, especially your children, you are the mirror by which they perceive themselves. What image are you reflecting?

Your Champion Life: Love yourself. This is where it all begins. Loving yourself will have a positive effect on every area of your life, your home, your family, your health – everything.

LM-HannahHannah Keeley was once in overwhelmed mom living in a cluttered house, deep in debt, out of shape, and barely hanging on. But one day, after finding herself sobbing uncontrollably into a pile of clean laundry, she realized God has bigger and better plans for her (just like He does for each one of His children). Beginning that day, she began making changes in her life that took her from overwhelmed to overjoyed. Today, she’s helping moms do the same. Hannah, her husband, Blair, and their seven children live in Richmond, Virginia, and are having the time of their lives!
