Safe Sunscreen Hack
by Terri Bonin
Summertime means fun in the sun but what’s a Momma to do to keep littles (and bigs) safe with all the chemical-laden sunscreen out on the market these days? Chemical sunscreens are so toxic to the body, so choosing a safe, clean sunscreen is super important to maintaining a healthy body. Coconut oil has natural UV protection by itself. So the recipe I’m sharing below along with the easy spray bottle option makes this combination a nice consistency that is easy to apply.
Here’s what we use anytime we’re out in the sun no matter if we’re at the beach, the pool, or just having fun at the park…
Young Living has THE BEST clean and natural sunscreen but sometimes it’s a little hard to get out of the bottle! So here’s a fun hack for you! Purchase an aerosol spray bottle off Amazon. Squeeze the whole bottle of sunscreen into it. Add about 3-5 ounces of organic fractionated coconut oil! Drop 10 drops of lavender or carrot seed essential oil. Shake well! Boom Baby! You’ve got a spray natural spray sunscreen that is easy to apply and won’t overload your body with toxins! The great thing is that the potency of this sunscreen is not diminished when it’s made into a spray.
Have fun making summer memories and enjoy this safe and easy sunscreen hack!
