Pumpkin Seeds with a Bite

The smell of carved pumpkins is in the air! As you carve yours don’t forget to keep those seeds and roast up this yummy crunchy snack that’s sure to satisfy your taste buds while keeping you slim and trim. Two delicious recipes in one fabulous post! Try chewing on these instead of the OTHER snacks lying around this Halloween season.

Pumpkin Seeds with a Bite
Ingredients (version 1):
- Pumpkin Seeds from your freshly carved pumpkin.
- 2TB Refined Coconut Oil
- THM Mineral Salt
- Black Pepper
- Cayenne Pepper
- Onion or Garlic Powder
Ingredients (version 2):
- Pumpkin Seeds from your freshly carved pumpkin.
- 2TB Refined Coconut Oil
- THM Mineral Salt
- Bragg Liquid Aminos
- Cayenne Pepper
Directions:
- Clean pumpkin seeds.
- Melt coconut oil and toss the seeds in it.
- Lay seeds on a baking sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle with heavy garnish of salt and a light sprinkle of the rest of the spices (several splashes of liquid aminos for version two).
- Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes (less if seeds are small) flipping seeds at least once.
- Keep a close eye on the seeds as they can burn quickly.
- Once seeds are light brown take them out of the oven.
- Let cool and enjoy!
