Pokemon Go

Using Pokemon Go to Reveal Our Hidden Characters…
I’m sitting in a Starbucks enjoying my coffee when a young boy runs in, playing the Pokemon Go game. He scans the room with his iPhone, looks at me in a crowded room and hollers: OMG it’s on her head.
With surprise, I reach up to see if I can feel it. Was it on my head the entire time without my realization?…
Like invisible characters that can only be viewed through a special lens, do you find yourself carrying baggage you didn’t know was there?
Perhaps guilt, anger, fear, rejection, jealousy, hurt from divorce, a family member break-up, sickness, even death without realizing its hold. We’re making SKEWED life choices as we drag heavy luggage NOT meant for us to bare alone.
Come to ME, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. My yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matt 11:28-30
If we could only wear name tags that identify the issues at hand: hello my name is depressed, nice to meet you, I’m jealous, and make all my decisions based on this.
Are you a positive person or more the glass is half empty? The declarations you make are sifted through this LIFE lens. Do you carry fear around like your favorite blankie? Like a game of chess, are you strategically making choices where someone else gets the ‘Check Mate?’
Bummer.
Does fear keep you from taking chances that may catapult you into a different direction, a new season of life?
My dad received his first pair of glasses when he was 8 years old. He said until that day, he thought all little green leaves on trees were fuzzy. He didn’t realize each leaf had definition and individual shapes. It was a life changer.
If we could only view what’s invisible to the naked eye and deal with those underlying attributes that hold us back, that keep us from Lift Off; it would change our outcome, our destination and give us new perspective and purpose.
Like the Pokemon Go game that reveals characters through a special lens, pray and ask God to reveal what is unseen in your life.
He created us to succeed and is our biggest fan. It’s your turn to be the Winner of your own life. Take the risk, walk a fearless life in truth and confidence, without a cloud of guilt following you around like its part of your daily wardrobe.
So when it’s time to make a strategic life move, with confidence you can gladly Yell: Check Mate!
“Be confident in this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it out to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”-Phil 1:6
