Pandemic Exercises

Pandemic Exercises

By Meggan Larson

Yep, there’s still a state of emergency in the world. I don’t think any of us believed that it was going to last for this long but alas, here we are. The good news is that because so many of us are stuck at home, there are a LOT more free resources available to us online. Frankly, I wish it was always like this because I work from home and homeschool my kids but hey if it takes a pandemic to make it happen we might as well take advantage.

One thing you can do…

…is look for free workout challenges. If you’re like me, you probably aren’t going for runs every day of the week am I right? On nice weather days, it’s easy to get outside and go for a walk or do some gardening but it’s also springtime and with that comes a lot of rain (at least where I’m from). Those rainy days are the ones where it’s important to continue getting a move on even if it’s in the form of an online workout.

I found one by Better Rocker the other day and was surprised that it was totally free and only 15 minutes per day. I signed up for it just because. I mean, what do we have to lose right now? Other than the extra weight we’re putting on from stress eating and just consuming more because it’s in our homes. No judgment here my friends. I am just as guilty as the next person but I also want to still fit into my jeans when this is all over.

Do yourself a favor and take advantage of all the free resources that are at our disposal right now. It will help keep you on track and hopefully help with the cabin fever too.
