Keeping Your Heart Healthy

Keeping your heart healthy is of the utmost importance for, well, life in general. Without a beating heart, you’ve got problems, mama. Did you know that heart disease is the number one cause of death for women in the United States? Say what?? Stroke and Cardiovascular diseases are responsible for the death of one in three women every year and the worst part is that almost two-thirds of women who die of coronary heart disease had no previous symptoms. Yikes! Heart disease actually kills six times as many women as breast cancer every year but women fear cancer more! Okay, now that I’ve terrified you with real-life stats, let me give you some solutions…

Eating a diet high in soluble fiber and low in saturated fat and sugar will significantly reduce your likelihood of developing a heart issue. Adopting a healthy lifestyle, getting adequate sleep, stopping smoking and/or tobacco use, reducing alcohol use, and starting or maintaining a fitness routine will all help as well. Eating things like fish that’s high in omega-3 fatty acids, whole grains, fruits, and veggies, etc are all excellent ways to maintain a happy heart.

One of my favorite supplements to support a happy and healthy heart is Young Living’s Cardiogize which is a naturally derived supplement formulated to support healthy heart function and blood circulation. This supplement includes astragalus, dong quai, motherwort, and hawthorn berry, which have all been used traditionally to support the cardiovascular system.
