It’s Easier With A Team
by Meggan Larson
I’m one of those people who loves doing things in a team. I work better in a team, I play better in a team, you get the idea. Recently my husband came on board with me and decided to do Trim Healthy Mama for the first time ever (cue the angel chorus). It has been a lot easier for me to stay on plan and here’s why…
I don’t have to battle temptation so hard anymore when he’s not sitting beside me eating a bag of chips, or some skor fudge, or half a pie…you get my drift. It’s a lot easier when he’s making the meals completely on plan because he wants to be on plan too. I’ve really appreciated his support and to his amazement he’s lost 15lbs in a month. It occurred to me that it’s just easier all around when the people surrounding you are on plan but I know that doesn’t always happen. The truth is, I’ve been eating the THM way for 5 years on and off ~ mostly on. I lost 60lbs in a year back in 2013 and due to some major stresses in my life, I unfortunately gained most of that back. What frustrated me the most was that I was still mainly eating the same way. I was still “on plan” for the most part. I can tell you that yes it’s much easier to stick to something when the people in your house are doing it too but sometimes you can be doing everything right and still be stuck. That was me for the past 2 years but not anymore. Through learning about emotions that block weight loss I was able to remove several things that had been blocking me and as a result in the last month I have lost 13lbs and 14.8 inches ~ effortlessly. I haven’t changed how I’ve been eating (though it has been easier with my hubby on board) but I have been focused on healing some parts of me that needed healing. If any of that resonates with you then you may want to join me for the last “Emotions that block weight loss” class of the year happening on FB tomorrow night at 7:30pm CST/8:30pm EST. Just request to join this group and we’ll get you into the class.
It’s not easy being stuck and what’s worse is not knowing why. Let us help you figure that out. Let us help propel you into 2018 already having lost weight and knowing that there’s more to come.
