Have a Spa Day at Home
By Terri Bonin
It’s almost officially summer and lots of people are booking vacations and posting selfies next to beautiful beaches in bikini-ready bodies. If you’re not quite there yet it can be a touch depressing to have nothing going on for the summer. Fear not, you can have your very own spa day at home with a few simple ingredients! You may not be spending $1000 on a spa day but so what? You can have the comforts of a spa while enjoying the day in your PJs. What could be better than that?
Lime essential oil from Young Living is like a tropical vacation in a bottle. Seriously! Lime can brighten your skin, freshen up your home, and even adds flavor to your cooking and drinks. It does everything!
You can beat the heat by rinsing a cloth in water, adding a couple of drops of lime and a drop of lavender and place in the freezer for 10 minutes. Take it out and apply to your forehead and neck to cool down. Ahhhh isn’t that nice?
Next treat your scalp to a rejuvenating and moisturizing spa-like treatment by mixing together a teaspoon of coconut oil, 2 drops of lime, and 2 drops of cedarwood in a small bowl. Mix them together and massage into your scalp for 3-5 minutes then take a nice hot shower and wash your hair as you normally would. Your scalp will feel amazing and it will brighten your hair too!
Take a deep relaxing breath by mixing coconut oil with lime and eucalyptus and rubbing it on your chest. Breathe deeply for a few minutes while you picture your dream vacation. Isn’t that relaxing?
Looks like you need a drink! Add 2 drops of lime vitality and a handful of fresh or frozen raspberries to your cold water and sit on the back deck for a few minutes of relaxation.
Now it’s time to make your skin glow by adding 2 drops of lime to a moist cotton ball and rubbing it all over your face as part of your nighttime routine. Keep it to the evening because this oil is photosensitive so you don’t want to be suntanning afterward.
I bet you’re feeling pretty relaxed now, aren’t you? Can you believe Lime essential oil is under $15?? Yes, please!
