Let’s be honest, how many of us have not reached our goal weight in 2016? It’s coming up to mid-December, new year’s resolutions are starting to float around, and you completely tanked on your resolution to get to your goal weight this year. Some of us are even further away from that goal than we were when we started in January! It’s easy to beat ourselves up over our things we said we would do but didn’t. It’s so simple to tear ourselves down and jump on our own backs for letting 11 months go by without accomplishing what we were so gung ho to do on January 1st 2016. But let me tell you something…

Half Empty Or Half Full

If you start right now, you’ll be getting a head start on next year! Forget about what didn’t happen in 2016 and focus on what’s going to happen in 2017! We can’t change the past and we certainly can’t rewrite history but what we can do is start fresh today. Don’t wait until January 1st to start improving your health today. If you start now then you’ll go into 2017 with momentum instead of dragging your feet. Starting now means that you’re not going to go through Christmas stuffing your face and regretting it. Last week I talked about the mistakes I made last year regarding this so please know this is not coming from a place of judgment. It’s coming from a place of wanting to spare you the shame and frustration that comes with waiting until New Year’s to make a change.

Let me be the first to tell you that it doesn’t matter how far off track you’ve gotten this year. It doesn’t matter if you’ve gained 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or more pounds this year. What matters is what you do TODAY (or tomorrow if you’re reading this at bedtime). Love yourself where you’re at and love yourself enough to change where you’re headed. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back to it! If you’re anything like me you started THM out of a place of desperation. You HAD to lose the weight and if you’ve gotten off track and are still coming back to THM it’s because you saw results and you know deep down that it works. I started a very small accountability group last year and together we lost hundreds of pounds between 50 of us. I have 10-15 spaces open right now but only for those of you who are serious about doing this. You’ve got to be at a place where enough is enough and you have GOT to make this work. Whatever you decide to do, do it before January 1st and propel yourself into 2017 instead of getting dragged in. Let’s make this year count!

    I am getting started back up after a long time away. I felt and looked better on THM. I am slowing myself into as I don’t have some the food stuffs I need. I am not going to beat myself up if I go off plan. I am going to enjoy myself!
