God is Still Greater
by Diana Scothorn
In the midst of what we’re facing in our world, GOD IS GREATER! The Name of Jesus is above the government.
The Bible says in Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a child is born, unto us, a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The weight of the world is on His shoulders. Heaviness, concern, and worry should NOT BE on our shoulders, hearts, minds, or lives. 2 Chronicles 20:15 says, “For the battle is not yours, but God’s.”
The victory is ours; the battle, however…
…belongs to the Lord. JESUS REIGNS; HE IS GREATER!
No matter what we’re going through, no matter what giants we’re facing, no matter how grim it may look, no matter how sick, and no matter how hopeless it may appear, God is still greater.
God is greater than our broken relationships, distant children, financial debt, poor self-image, or lonely state. He sees our pain, and He sees our hearts. He knows how to work out everything for our good.
Deuteronomy 20:4 states, “For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”
God is greater than our greatest weakness. God is still greater than our hopeless situation. Our hope is in Jesus. I have found myself repeatedly in problems that overwhelmed my soul, but God is still greater.
Not only is He greater, but His Word says, AS HE IS, SO ARE WE! God is the GREAT I AM! I AM, WHO HE SAYS, I AM! We were born for greatness. 1 John 4:4 says, “You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than in the world. You belong to God.
We are overcomers, and greater is He in you and me than he that is in the world. God is still greater. We had access to His Greatness when He sent His Word.
The devil brings hopelessness that breeds fear. God has clarified that He is greater because He is Love, and His perfect love will cast out all fear. There is no fear in love.
Satan wants to overpower and overwhelm us in our bodies with physical exhaustion. He torments our minds by meditating on what could happen until our emotions are taunted with fear.
Fear brings torment and also brings sorrow with it. God breeds love and brings peace and joy unspeakable to those who know God is still greater.
God is still greater than the greatest fear that taunts us. When we can conceive GOD IS GREATER, we’ll see nothing is too big for our great God.
There is no fear greater than the God we serve. The greater the mountain, the greater the victory. No matter how big or impossible it may look, our God is still greater.
