Get Your Glow On
By Terri Bonin
We’re in the thick of it y’all. It’s winter winter. The holidays are over so we no longer have that distracting us from the fact that it’s COLD! There’s not much any of us can do but hunker down and get through it. I’m fortunate enough to live in Texas where it’s actually pretty nice out. But to my friends in the North, I’m praying for you. Haha but seriously. Winter is the time when we could really use an extra pep in our step or glow in our face so here are some of the essential oils you can use to brighten up your face…
The most important thing you can do is make sure you have a consistent skincare routine. You know those pictures floating around ~ if you wore these shoes you need a nighttime moisturizer? Hah! They crack me up but it’s true. Starting and ending your day with a good cleaning routine will really help your skin. Also, exfoliating a couple of times per week will also add shine. Young Living has the Satin Mint Facial scrub for your exfoliation needs and there are several face cleansers to choose from. The Mirrah cleansing oil, Orange Blossom face cleanser, etc. are just some of the ones you can choose from.
Next, depending on your skin type choose an oil to work with. Manuka cleanses, refines, and highlights healthy looking skin. Helichrysum smooths the appearance of skin. Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood illuminates and enhances healthy looking skin. Lavender cleanses, nourishes, and boost’s fresh youthful looking skin. Sacred Frankincense evens and highlights your complexion. Copaiba moisturizes, comforts, and supports radiant looking skin. Cedarwood cleanses, moisturizes, and soothes skin. And oils like carrot seed, clary sage, hinoki, and thyme accentuate your natural beauty and embraces a fresh youthful face.
