Time marches on…the evidence is all around us. I long to be fully present in the everyday moments of family life while still looking forward to make sure we’re happy with the direction we’re heading.
We often compare ourselves to our family of origin, but as a parent of a “big” family I am learning how fun it is to be reflective as we go along this parenting journey. Having one high school graduate, another well on their way to finishing up highschool, along with a 7 month old baby, and six in between- I am so mindful of the choices we made for the “first batch”, and the choices we can make now with the next ones coming through!
This month, we Laundry Moms will be sharing some of our experiences and heart reflections of collectively raising 38 children! We all have different stories: some of us have come from larger families, others have not. Through it all we hope to dig a little deeper to inspire one another to action: to raise our kids into the fullness of who they were created to be! We pray that as we seek God’s vision for our families, and support one another in our parenting endeavours, we will become a community of people that serve to bless and strengthen one another…bringing God the glory as we love our families and our neighbours.
Will you join us in the community? Enjoy this month’s free ebook, “Parenting the Family Circus” and come join us on Facebook, Twitter & motivation for conversation, motivation & inspiration! Parenting is no easy job and it takes the Body of Christ to encourage on another along the journey.
Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
