Freshen Things Up Mama!
By Meggan Larson
When you’re doing any kind of weight loss plan, things can get a little…stale. You get into a groove and before you know it you’re making the same thing for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners every week. Oh sure it’s a variation of the same meals, but at the end of the day, there is only so much you can do with cabbage and ground beef am I right?
If you stay in this pattern than one of two things can happen…
One, you’ll suffer through week after week forcing yourself to eat the meals you’ve long since grown tired of. Two, you’ll convince yourself you can’t handle eating this way anymore and you’ll quit. There’s a better way! There are so many amazing cookbooks that you can get your hands on. Briana Thomas (the queen of THM) has Necessary Food which is full of tasty recipes. There’s The Everyday Ketogenic Kitchen which can inspire new creations for months! Not to mention the phenomenal free resources here at the laundry moms and on the laundry moms Pinterest page.
It can certainly feel like an overwhelming task to create an entirely new menu week after week. That’s not necessary! Just grab a new recipe or two every week and try it out. See what you like and what you don’t like. Flip through cookbooks for new inspiration. Scroll through the THM FB groups to see what everyone is raving about this week. Crack open the books you bought out of excitement years ago but haven’t looked at since.
Don’t stay stuck in the menu blues where you don’t try anything new for months at a time. That’s no way to live friend! The Laundry Moms also have 3 months of FREE menu plans to help you on your weight loss journey! (Just click the green button on the home page!) Spice up your menus so that you and your family are no longer choking your meals down. There is a lot of inspiration out there; you just have to look for it.
