Favor Brings Promotion
by Diana Scothorn
The world’s ways are based on who you know that will open the doors for promotion. However, the Kingdom of God (God’s ways) are based on the “One” You Know.
The favor of God is not based on the popularity of man.
God’s favor has power that is accompanied by the Holy Spirit’s influence. Favor is defined as support or an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “for by Grace (God’s Favor) you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
God’s favor will cause those in influence to notice you. Joseph was the son of Jacob and one of 12 sons. His father loved him more than all his brothers. Due to jealousy of his position with their father, his brothers sold him into slavery.
Yet God caused a spotlight (favor) to shine down on Joseph, and He eventually became a steward to Potiphar, one of the officials of Pharaoh. The favor of God will make you irresistible to those in positions of authority.
God’s favor will promote and push you to the top of the line. I learned the blessings of God require me to…
…put a demand on my faith. I have to believe God is going before me and able to change IMPOSSIBLE circumstances in my favor, regardless of my position at the time.
God’s favor is given from a position of “love,” not “justice”! God’s blessing is not based on how much we deserve it, but rather how much He loves us! Our position with Jesus remains the same. We are righteous (right standing with God) because of the finished work of the cross.
I have experienced countless times that God’s favor has gone before me to accomplish what I felt I did not deserve. When God has given me what I knew I was UNQUALIFIED to get, it caused me to recognize His unwavering love for me.
God’s favor demonstrates, His Grace to love and give what only He has to offer! God’s Favor will go before us to Rearrange, Replace, Reposition, Reconsider, and Rebuild, anything that needs repair!
My life is a picture of the favor of God. The gift of my husband, the fruit in our children’s lives, and the platform of influence in the marketplace are all the favor of God demonstrated in a life that was willing to believe.
Mark 5:36 days, Be not afraid; only believe. When we believe that God’s favor can do what we are not qualified to do, we will see that it is God alone who qualifies those He has called!
When we believe that God’s Favor can do and go where we could never go on our own, we will see God’s favor take us where we never thought possible!
