LITTLE RED WAGON is based on the inspirational true story of eight-year-old Zach Bonner on his quest to change the world with nothing more than his beat-up red wagon and a blazing spirit of philanthropy. When Zach sets out to help homeless children in America in the wake of Hurricane Charley, by walking from his house in Tampa, Florida to the White House, he must overcome bureaucrats and blisters and capture the hearts of his fractured family and the entire nation.


From award-winning filmmaker David Anspaugh (RudyHoosiers) and acclaimed screenwriter Patrick Sheane Duncan (Mr. Holland’s Opus), Little Red Wagon is the inspiring true story of eight-year-old Zach Bonner. Zach dreams of making a difference in the world, and he refuses to let anything or anyone stand in his way. Armed with nothing more than a blazing spirit of philanthropy and his beat-up little red wagon, Zach sets out to help the 1.3 million homeless children in America, one wagon full at a time. In the process, he sweeps along his fractured family and, ultimately, the entire country.

THE LITTLE RED WAGON FOUNDATION is a non-profit charity that raises money and collects supplies for needy children. Founded in 2005 by Zach Bonner, the organization has raised thousands of dollars to build apartments for the needy. Zach Bonner created a non-profit charity to help kids in distressed situations. His plan is to help as many kids as he can, have fun and keep it simple.

Zach has made and distributed over 4,000 backpacks across the country to homeless youth full of food, personal hygiene kits and other supplies. Zach also includes a candy pack and small toy in each backpack to show the kids he is helping that he cares about their kid needs as well as their basic needs.

The Little Red Wagon Foundation Inc. has hosted Holiday parties for homeless youth, victims of natural disasters, unwed mothers, emergency foster care kids, domestic violence shelters and others since 2006.

Serving over 4,800 kids and their families, over 56 pallets of school supplies and over 2,400 backpacks full of supplies have been distributed internationally. 2,000 plus books have been distributed to schools, students, migrant farmers and programs that serve them. An additional 450 books have been distributed to homeless youth and foster kids. New sporting equipment has been donated to programs serving homeless youth and foster kids affected by natural disasters. Zach has hosted 23 parties for homeless youth at Build A Bear and Chuck E Cheese.
