Everything’s Going to be Alright

Everything’s Going to be Alright

by Diana Scothorn

The Lord reminded me that there are hurting people across the globe. We’ve all experienced pain and disappointment. However, every day presents new opportunities to “LET GO” or “Hang On.”

When I learned how to “let go” and give the weight of my problems to God, it made life easier. It takes the pressure off and allows God to be magnified by bringing the heaviness of our anxiety and placing it at the feet of Jesus.

I am surrounded by friends that have experienced profound losses, many of them tragic losses. I sometimes struggle when I pray and intercede, and someone still goes before their time to be with Jesus. Unfortunately, many times, I don’t have…

…all the facts.

God gives us a free choice. We can choose to stay and fight, or we can choose to “let go” and GO HOME!

Until it’s your battle you’re fighting, you never know how you would respond in the heat of the battle.

It’s easy to say, “be healed,” but not as easy to walk in our healing when symptoms of pain appear.

It’s easy to say we forgive but not as easy to live daily with the one who has wounded you. I’ve learned this fundamental truth, when you know how good God is, You know God will work out things for our good!  (Romans 8:28)

Through every trial, I have an expectancy that God will show up and MAKE EVERYTHING ALRIGHT!  An expectant heart comes from faith built out of a relationship with God. Jeremiah 1:12 says God is watching to see that His word is fulfilled.

Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. Hope means we have an earnest expectation that God will fulfill His promise before we see it manifested in our life.

The more time I spend with God, the more I know, He is for me!  My expectancy is a strong faith built with a personal relationship with my Savior. The weaker I am, the STRONGER HE IS, IN ME!

When my words fail me, and I have no words to pray, the more  Jesus intercedes on my behalf. The greater my pain, the greater my healing.

Faith in God allows you to see beyond the natural circumstances presented to your natural senses. Trusting in God sees through the eye of God.

Faith Never Quits! When everything screams it’s over, faith screams back; with GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.”

Faith is in God; it’s just that simple, FAITH IN GOD! Having Faith is the easy part; trusting at all times is the more difficult part. Trusting God with your whole heart, with what we do not understand, requires a new level of faith.

When things do not turn out like I prayed and believed, I must trust God in my lack of understanding. In every situation that I have experienced loss, looking back, God gave me strength for a new vision!

VISION to take the next step, VISION of His unconditional love, and VISION for a new VISION!  Loss tends to cause a blur across the lens of our hearts.

It’s often difficult to see the next step when you feel like your heart has been stepped on. However, God knows every step imprinted on our hearts is another step He will use to impart His love, in and through other hurting hearts!

Be Encouraged, everything is going to be alright; God is still on His throne! We may not understand what we cannot see, but God will see us through everything in our time of need. God is good all the time.
