Enter into God’s Provision
by Diana Scothorn
Psalms 84:11 says there is not one good thing that God will withhold.
I can remember when I looked into other people’s lives, thinking they had it all. I couldn’t understand why I worked so hard and barely had enough.
I’ve learned over time that God never intended me to operate on the minimal side. I know people who say I don’t care how much I make as long as I have enough to meet “my” needs. When I began to have the heart to serve and meet others’ needs Is when God began to show me the riches of His provision!
God will meet us where we are. If we believe in just enough, He will provide just enough. When I realized that…
…His riches couldn’t be exhausted, I began to tap into the limitless provision of the Lord. God will cause overflow in every area of life if we can dare to believe in overflow provision. I never want to get to the point where my attitude is to settle for just enough for me.
If we reserve what God meant to be served and poured out, we will live in a deficit. The devil wants us to stay in the land of “just enough,” so we never enter the land of “more than enough” to give to others.
John 10:10 says, “The thief does not come except to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.”
2 Corinthians 9:8 says “God is able to bless us abundantly so that in all things at all times, we will have all we need, to abound in every good work.”
God desires us to have abundance in everything—an abundant marriage,
Abundant love abundant provision,
abundant favor, abundant grace, and abundant joy!
He doesn’t want us to live our life with just enough. He wants our joy to be full and our love to be deep. He wants it overflowing to emotionally reach those who feel unloved.
He doesn’t want us to have relationships with just enough strength to hang on, but a thriving relationship that “screams” God is awesome!
We serve God who can do exceedingly, abundantly, above what we could think, dream, or ask, so why stay in lack. When my thinking began to line up with God’s Word, that He would supply all my needs according to His riches, is when I entered into God’s Glorious Land of “more than enough.”
It is a decision to enter God’s provision or stay in lack. When we realize God wants to pour out His provision in our lives to cause overflow into others, is when we will experience the overflowing blessing of God.
