Do My Supplements Matter?
by Terri Bonin
Taking supplements is a huge part of my life. I feel 100% better when I take them and that’s all the proof I need. So, I regularly get asked what supplements I take or recommend. The supplements that might be right for your body depends on what systems in your body might be lacking support. A few of the foundational basics below might be a good start for you too, so here are the supplements I take on a regular basis…
This wonderful, super supplement was designed to support the healthy functions of the body. It contains MSM (methyl-sulfonyl-methane) an organic form of naturally occurring sulfur; and Ningxia Wolfberry and FOS.
So you may be asking….What are the health benefits of MSM? And why is dietary sulfur important to support the body? Let me list it out for you.
Benefits of Sulfur include:
- Supports healthy detoxification (Helps form healthy poop)
- Maintains structure of proteins (Gives skin, hair, and nails pretty shine)An
- Protect cells and cell membranes (Balances the water in the cell to reduce pain)
- Preserves the molecular framework of connective tissues (Slows down the aging process)
- Replenishes the connections between the cells
- Supports healthy immune system (Gives feeling of well being)
- Supports circulation, liver, and proper intestinal function (as stated above)
- And more!
Sulfur is not always utilized properly by the body. For the dietary sulfur to be metabolized efficiently, the proper calcium amounts must be present. And remember that it takes magnesium to metabolize calcium! Ningxia Wolfberry is added is added to Sulfurzyme for this reason. They contain 21 trace minerals, 18 amino acids, and many vitamins. It is a significant source of minerals and coenzymes that supports the assimilation and metabolism of sulfur. * Super important!
B’s are the first thing to go when the body gets stressed. Without B vitamins we lose the color of our hair, our mental cognizance, and our ability to handle stress with grace. Not all B’s are created equal but we KNOW that Young Living provides one that easily absorbed into our cells.

PD 80/20 is a dietary supplement formulated to help maximize internal health and support the endocrine system.* It contains pregnenolone and DHEA, two substances produced naturally by the body that declines with age. Pregnenolone is the key precursor for the body’s production of estrogen, DHEA, and progesterone, and it also has an impact on mental acuity and memory.* DHEA is involved in maintaining the health of the cardiovascular and immune systems.*
I take this on a regular basis and feel it’s worth every penny! It is an all-purpose digestive enzyme that also contains herbs. Taken just prior to eating, Essentialzyme supports digestion of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats.
