Okay, I am the FIRST person to avoid exercising, I’ll admit it. It’s not something I just loooooove to do. Not by a long shot. But I know the importance of exercising regularly. It helps your body get rid of toxins, improves your mood, and of course the obvious weight loss benefits. Even knowing this doesn’t seem to motivate me to get a gym membership or press play on a workout video. What I found interesting though was that…

Creative Exercising

There are things that cause me to break a sweat that I actually really enjoy! Gardening, playing volleyball, playing badminton, swimming, walking the dog, etc. It doesn’t have to fit the mould of traditional exercise to actually be exercise. It’s time to let go of the idea that in order to be counted as exercise you have to go for a five-mile run. If that’s something you enjoy then great! Not everyone is in that boat. Some people absolutely love pushing play on their DVD player and following an exercise program that way; others don’t.

They say if you do what you love then you’ll never work another day in your life. The same is true for exercise! If you get your sweat on gardening or playing a sport ~ that counts! You don’t have to then force yourself to squeeze in an exercise routine that you despise. I mean it’s 2018 right? Do we really have to stay within the confines or traditional exercise? I think not. Once I changed my mindset, I started looking forward to going for walks, gardening, playing with my kids etc. And I find that I push myself a little harder each time. The best part is, I don’t hate it OR dread it! To me, that’s worth its weight in gold.

Meggan Larson is a wife, mom of three, and challenge overcomer! Being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and undergoing aggressive chemotherapy when her second born child was only three months old, gave Meggan an expected twist to her life. Dealing with pregnancy weight gain and the debilitating effects of chemotherapy, Meggan’s weight soared to over 228 pounds. Despite the challenges she faced, Meggan has just celebrated her one year “trimiversary”, and her success of releasing just over 60 pounds! Meggan is confident that her success on plan is “doable” for anyone looking to gain back their health and wanting to live a trim and healthy lifestyle!
