Born With A Mission
by Diana Scothorn
The day we were born, we were born pushing with a mission! God has given us an essential task that He has for each of us. A task is defined as a work assigned or expected of a person.
God has assigned a work He expects us to fulfill. John 17:4 says, “I glorified you on earth by completing down to the last detail what you assigned me to do.”
Exodus 9:16 says, “But I have raised you for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that My Name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”
We may feel our job is insignificant, but every work is a piece of His master plan. Our purpose will…
…demonstrate that God’s Spirit in us gives us the ability to do what we cannot accomplish in our strength!
God will see to it, as we lean on Him for strength, that we complete down to the last detail what He has purposed for our life. 2 Corinthians 12:8 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
It’s not our talent to accomplish the task, but God strengthens us with might, in our inner man by His Spirit, to achieve our assigned mission. The stress of children, schedules, marriage, finances, even extra pounds, and life’s demands often make us feel we have no ability to accomplish any task outside of what we currently have on our plate.
I am thankful for God’s grace, love, and forgiveness, which continue to help me with my mission when I am without the strength to carry out my task.
His grace will love us through anything and everything we encounter or face in our lifetime! God is FOREVER forgiving, encouraging, FOREVER loving, and FOREVER for us!
God believes in us when we doubt ourselves! His plan for our life never changes, and He is constant. He is unwavering in His steadfast love, devotion, and purpose for our life. He will never let us go, and He will never let us down!
The day we were born, our mission was assigned, and His mission was accomplished! As we get older, we will recognize God’s grace unfold in a new way, as He reveals His eternal love that will carry us through until our mission assigned is completed!
