Are You Talking To Yourself?
by Hannah Keeley
Matthew 12:37 tells us that “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” The choices you are living with today in a huge part are a result of the words that came out of your mouth in the past.’
Wow. That’s heavy.
Words are powerful tools. Just like a brick can be used to build a house or break a window, your words either build up or tear down as soon as they escape your lips.
I remember once when I was hoping and praying to move to another home, I confessed to a friend, “I can’t imagine packing up that house I live in now.” She quickly responded, “Then don’t worry about it. You never will.”
(That’s the thing about good friends–they hold you accountable.)
Immediately, I realized that my own word were destroying that very thing I was hoping and praying for. I got a lot more careful about the thoughts I was holding and the words that were coming out of my mouth.

Hannah Keeley was once in overwhelmed mom living in a cluttered house, deep in debt, out of shape, and barely hanging on. But one day, after finding herself sobbing uncontrollably into a pile of clean laundry, she realized God has bigger and better plans for her (just like He does for each one of His children). Beginning that day, she began making changes in her life that took her from overwhelmed to overjoyed. Today, she’s helping moms do the same. Hannah, her husband, Blair, and their seven children live in Richmond, Virginia, and are having the time of their lives!
