Are You Hormonal?
By Terri Bonin
That’s a touchy question, isn’t it? It’s also an important one. As frustrating as it can be to have someone blame your bad mood on your hormones, sometimes it’s accurate and if it is you can do something about it. There’s no sense in feeling down in the dumps and staying that way if you can help it! Hormones affect so much of our overall health and being “hormonal” isn’t something we have no control over.
Did you know that…
With a little research, you can narrow down which hormone needs support? Hormonal migraines = progesterone imbalance. Hair loss = testosterone imbalance. Terrible grumpiness = estrogen imbalance. Of course, these are not hard and fast rules but they are definite clues as to what might be going on inside of your body. Your endocrine system regulates all of your hormones and when that system is out of balance it can send all of your hormones out of whack. That’s not good!
Knowing what’s out of balance is the first step but an even more important step is doing something about it! Knowing is great but if nothing is done about it then the symptoms stay the same and let’s be honest; nobody wants that. There are synthetic hormones that you can use but the risks and side effects of taking those are pretty high. I will always recommend supporting your hormones naturally because using plant-based phytoestrogens are going to support your body in a more healthful way.
Tonight on our FB live class at 7:30 pm CST we will be sharing more information about hormones and how to support them naturally… We’d love to see you there so come and join us here!
