There is just something about cinnamon and apples baking in the oven that makes a Mama’s heart feel like she has turned into Susie Homemaker!
Now I’m no Martha Stewart, but when I put this scrumptious dish in the oven, the whole family thinks I’m the queen of the kitchen as the smells of cinnamon, vanilla, and apples drift through the room!
Don’t miss out on this easy Trim Healthy Mama ‘E’ dessert, which will also make a great crossover if you’re to that point on your weight loss journey. Maybe you’re pregnant or nursing and need to add in a few crossover meals…so then by all means pile on the topping and enjoy!

Apple Cinnamon Crisp
- 4-6 apples cut into bite size pieces and layered in a dish.
- Add about 1/8 cup of water to the apples
- sprinkle with cinnamon
- dash of vanilla
Optional Topping for a Crossover Dessert:
- 1 cup of oats blended into flour
- add 1 cup of oats (as is)
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 6-7 Tablespoons THM Gentle Sweet
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- dash of vanilla
Directions:
- Mix dry ingredients together and then add the butter
- Add a splash of water if needed
- Mix together and place over apples making sure to cover them completely
- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until apples are soft
