Adjust Your Weight Loss Sail

Have you ever been sailing along in your weight loss journey and enjoying smooth and steady weight loss? I think we’ve all been there. It’s like being on a sailboat on a beautiful sunny day. You’re flowing along nicely when all of a sudden you slow down ~ significantly. Uh oh! It’s a frustrating thing to feel dead in the water but it’s important to remember that…

Sometimes you just need to adjust your sail.

The winds of weight loss may have changed! What you were doing before is no longer working ~ the winds have changed direction! It’s not actually that big of a deal unless you sit there doing nothing to adjust. Start writing down everything you’re eating in a day again just to see if anything has changed. I mean you might be putting 4TB of olive oil in your salad when you used to only use 2. That’s a massive difference in fat content and it can mess with your macros. Sometimes when you’re eating a lot of S meals or doing Keto it can feel like all fat is good fat but there is such a thing as too much. Did you know for instance that just two extra tablespoons of olive oil are 28g of fat? Ahem, whoops! That’s quite a difference! Sometimes all that’s needed is a little readjustment to keep the weight loss boat sailing along.

It can be so frustrating when you can’t figure out why you’re not losing weight like you used to. I bet if you’re honest with yourself about the “little” things you’ve been doing you’ll quickly see what to fix. I used to put olive oil on my salads like it was raining from the sky but then I would measure my MCT oil for my bulletproof coffee. It’s not hard to measure it for my salad too and it will cut down on all that unnecessary fat. There doesn’t always need to be some massive change to your entire routine. Sometimes you just need to adjust your sail and get moving again.
